Rebuilding Education, One Playful Lesson at a Time:
ASA Foundation & LEGO Empower Educators Through Learning Through Play Workshops
This October, the ASA Foundation, supported by LEGO, reignited the joy of teaching through two Learning Through Play Refresher Workshops held in Surabaya (October 3–4) and Jakarta (October 10–11, 2025).
A total of 97 educators from community organizations joined the sessions to explore how play can transform classrooms into spaces of creativity, empathy, and collaboration. Collectively, these teachers reach more than 2,413 students, amplifying the positive impact of Learning Through Play across communities.
With 50% female participation, the workshops also highlighted ASA Foundation’s and LEGO’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women in education.
Through STEM-focused activities, group challenges, and creative builds, teachers rediscovered how play fosters curiosity, emotional intelligence, and teamwork, helping children learn beyond the textbook.
The workshops left educators inspired and energized to bring playful learning back to their schools—proving that when learning feels like play, education becomes a joyful journey for every child.
