On 10 August 2026, ASA Foundation and AFC Dream Asia Foundation brought Goals for Good to SLBN 3 Jakarta, creating an opportunity for students, teachers and coaches to come together through inclusive sport.
The school visit began with a meaningful ceremony joined by 230 students with disabilities, celebrating the power of football and sport to create connection, participation and belonging.
The morning continued with a focused Goals for Good training evaluation involving 25 students with intellectual disabilities, with activities supported by dedicated teachers from SLBN 3 Jakarta, who are among the programme's trainer beneficiaries.
As the first school engagement following Workshop 1, the visit provided an important opportunity to put some of the approaches introduced during the initial training into practice, while gathering valuable feedback and observations to inform the programme's ongoing learning and MEL process.
The first stage of Goals for Good focuses on building the foundations for inclusive, safe and supportive sport, with further programme themes and approaches to be developed through the upcoming training workshops and school activities.
Because inclusive sport is not only about who gets to play.
It is about creating an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, respected and empowered to participate.
Through Goals for Good, we are working together to strengthen the capacity of teachers and coaches and create more opportunities for children to play, learn, connect and grow through sport.
This is just the beginning.
