The AFC Dream Asia Foundation & ASA Foundation Goals for Good programme continued its school MEL visits at SMP Negeri 259 Jakarta, highlighting the importance of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices.
A total of 34 students, including 19 girls, were observed during the visit, providing valuable insights into how teachers are applying the knowledge and skills gained from the first Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop.
The observation highlighted encouraging progress in teachers' understanding and implementation of safeguarding principles. Teachers demonstrated effective communication with students, helping them deliver instructions more clearly and create a supportive learning environment.
These positive developments reflect the early progress of the programme in strengthening teachers' capacity to foster safer, more inclusive, and engaging learning experiences through sport.
Through Goals for Good, we remain committed to supporting educators in translating their training into meaningful classroom practices, ensuring that every student feels safe, respected, and included.
Because meaningful inclusion begins with safe and supportive learning environments.
