PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (“AMMAN”), a subsidiary of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (IDX: “AMMN”) announces a strategic two-year partnership with Borussia Dortmund ("BVB"), a distinguished Bundesliga football club from Germany. The partnership aims to nurture young talents’ character through football in West Sumbawa Regency ("KSB"), Indonesia. This groundbreaking alliance positions AMMAN as the first mining company in Indonesia to establish a long-term relationship with a European professional football club.

Over the course of the partnership, AMMAN and BVB will strengthen the ecosystem and promote various football activities in KSB, including leagues for boys, girls and children with special needs (disabilities). Initiatives encompass training programs for local coaches and players, provision of football equipment, dispatching selected local coaches and players to the BVB Evonik Football Academy as well as technical consultations.

AMMAN's President Director, Rachmat Makkasau, highlighted AMMAN's commitment to inclusive football development in KSB. "As one of Indonesia's largest copper and gold mining companies, AMMAN is dedicated to fostering personal and social development in the communities where we operate, to achieve its full potential, one of which is through football as part of AMMAN's Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) programs," Rachmat explained.

BVB has already initiated its coaching workshops and training programs for local children of various ages at the University of Cordova, KSB, from November 15 to 19. The technical implementation is supported by the ASA Foundation which has been AMMAN's partner in organizing the 2023 KSB Professional Football League season.

AMMAN believes in the importance of sport in human resource development. Under the umbrella of the #Sports4Development program, AMMAN provides opportunities for young talents to reach their full potential by encouraging personal and social development for a thriving future.

In the past year, AMMAN has successfully held the KSB Professional Football League with full support from ASA Foundation, the KSB government and ASKAB PSSI West Sumbawa for the age range of League-1 and League-2 for the public, U-18 women, U-15 men, and competitions specifically for children with disabilities. This disability league is the first to be held, especially for the Central Indonesia region. AMMAN is also actively involved in supporting various other sports events that are in line with AMMAN's vision in creating the best legacy, including the AMMAN BNI M25K World Tennis Tour 2023, Jakarta Marathon 2023 as well as AMMAN Liga Surfing Indonesia Grand Final 2023.
